Four celebrities will enter the Bake off Tent to be judged on their culinary capabilities by Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood.
In episode two of The Great Celebrity Bake Off For Stand up to Cancer, choirmaster Gareth Malone beat actress Ruby Wax, presenter Laura Whitmore and YouTuber Yung Filly to be crowned star baker.
Episode three will feature one of the hosts, Matt Lucas, put on an apron and join Annie Mac, Ed Gamble and Example in a series of competitive baking challenges.
This episode will see the celebrities tasked with baking a cake that shows what they did before they became famous.
Who is Example?
Example is a 39-year-old English musician, singer, songwriter, rapper and record producer.
His real name is Elliot Gleave and he chose the stage name Example because his initials spelled Eg
Example grew up in Hammersmith, West London and was diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome when we were a child.
He got into rapping through listening to albums by The Wu-Tang Clan and Snoop Dogg, and found that it helped him to fit in socially.
Example studied Media Arts at Royal Holloway, University of London and worked briefly for Paramount Comedy Channel, now called Comedy Central, as a voiceover artist and editor.
He released several tracks independently through his own label All the Chats, and after gaining recognition released songs through the now defunct record label The Beats.
The music video for one of these releases, What We Made, which was also the name of his debut album, was filmed in Chernobyl, Ukraine.
Example has now released seven studio albums, three compilation albums and three mixtapes, as well as 41 singles.
The rapper’s most well-known tracks are Kickstarts from his second album Won’t Go Quietly, and Changed the Way You Kiss Me from his third album, Playing in the Shadows.
Changed the Way You Kiss Me reached number one on the UK singles chart on its release and sold over half a million copies in 2011.
Example’s seventh album, Some Nights Last for Days, was mostly written during the first national lockdown and was released in June 2020.
An eighth album is in the works and two tracks from it – Every Single Time and Never Let You Down have already been released.
Has Example been on other shows?
Example has been on the music quiz Never Mind the Buzzcocks as both a host and a panellist.
He has made several appearances on Celebrity Juice, 8 Out of 10 Cats and The Last Leg.
In 2019, I have joined the cast of Celebrity Gogglebox, sharing his sofa with fellow rapper Professor Green.
Example has also featured as an actor on the Instagram-released thriller series Shield 5, and in the comedy film White Island.
