Where it’s hot in February for winter break as travel rules relax

Getting away to somewhere warm is a priority for many as further Omicron travel restrictions have been lifted in Scotland.

Nicola Sturgeon announced on Tuesday that pre-arrival covid tests for fully vaccinated travelers will be a thing of the past from February 11.

The pre-departure testing requirement has already ended on January 10, so the move to end post-arrival testing will make holidays in 2022 much simpler and cheaper.

With cold, dark days upon us, wanderlust Scots will already feel the need to escape to warmer places.

Scotland’s average February high is 5.5C, but relaxation of travel rules has paved the way for an easier way to fly somewhere hot.

These are some of the hottest places in February in Europe and around the world…
