Where is Adam Johnson’s girlfriend Stacey Flounders now? Rekindling romance and two kids

Stacey Flounders was the girlfriend of disgraced footballer Adam Johnson and it’s fair to say their relationship has been a turbulent one.

The pair split up in 2016, after he was convicted of sexual activity with a child and given a six-year jail term, however they rekindled their romance following his release.

Stacey arrived hand-in-hand with the footballer at Bradford Crown Court, but the 31-year-old confirmed their relationship was over in the witness box during the trial.

Crying, she said: “I have remained with him. He was honest with me [after his arrest] and I knew he was telling the truth.

“We had just had a daughter, and I wanted us to be a family. We are just going to remain friends.”

But after Adam was released in 2019, he and Stacey reunited during lockdown and welcomed their second child, a baby boy named Arley, writes The Mirror.

The couple were pictured in August last year taking their one-month-old son out for a walk with their daughter Ayla Sofia, seven, at Hardwick County Park, in Sedgefield.

They are now said to live in a £500,000 home in Country Durham, with it being reported recently that Adam has sold his £1.75m property, while his parents are now facing a court battle over the liquidation of a company they owned and ran.

The business, named after the ex-England, Man City and Sunderland winger – which is in liquidation – faces a claim from HMRC for £523,737.

The Insolvency Service says the liquidator is taking legal action to recover funds from the company’s former officers. Johnson’s dad David was the sole director, while his mother Sonia was registered as company secretary.

David, who also acted as his son’s agent, declined to comment on proceeds from the sale of his son’s house potentially being used to meet the liquidator’s claim.

Stacey was an air hostess when she met Johnson, after being introduced by a cousin in 2011, around the time he moved to the North East after a period playing for Manchester City.

Following Adam’s release in 2019, the pair rekindled their romance during lockdown

The star, who was earning £60,000-a-week at the time, moved his beautiful girlfriend into a £1.5million mansion in the affluent village of Castle Eden, close to his parents’ home, in 2013.

Unlike other WAGs, she already enjoyed a glamorous life by her own means as an air stewardess.

Devoted, she went to nearly every home game – and walked behind him so he could sign autographs and pose for photos for fans.

But when Adam was found guilty of sexually assaulting the teenager, Stacey left the court in tears and alone.

But two years after the footballer’s release the couple are said to be “happier now than ever” after rekindling their romance.

A friend told The Sun last year the couple had “been through a lot” but they rebuilt their life together during lockdown, where they were “spending lots of time with each other looking after their daughter”.
