West Ham turned their focus back to the Premier League this afternoon when they welcomed Burnley to the London Stadium, but they went into the break 1-0 down.
In their first match without Dyche for almost a decade, Burnley made a positive start with Maxwel Cornet leading a couple of nice breaks.
West Ham went closest to opening the scoring though, as Jarrod Bowen first had a shot blocked and then from the rebound was brilliantly denied by Nick Pope.
Midway through the first-half, play was stopped for ten minutes as Ashley Westwood received treatment for what appeared to be an incredibly serious injury.. Nikola Vlasic, who challenged the Burnley man for the ball, was in tears as players from both sides consoled him.
Shortly after the restart, the Clarets took the lead. Jay Rodriguez was denied by the woodwork from a corner, but the ball looped up and Wout Weghorst rose highest to head home.
The visitors should have doubled their lead in first-half stoppage time, as Cornet was brought down by Lukasz Fabianski following a rapid counter-attack. He stuttered and sent the goalkeeper the wrong way, only to drag his penalty wide.
Kick-off is at 2:15pm at the London Stadium – follow all the action with Standard Sport’s LIVE blog below…

90+2 min: Three minutes added on.
West Ham continue to pile men forward but it’s not going to happen for them the way it’s going. So many chances missed.
90 min: Pope is keeping his side in it!
West Ham are on the charge, real pressure now. Antonio clean through on goal, just Pope to beat… can’t do it.
88 min: WHAT A SAVE!
The home fans had started to celebrate! Corner taken short, Fornals whips it in and Diop’s header is destined for the bottom corner, until Pope somehow gets down to palm it away.
Ball was almost behind him.
87 min: ANTONIO AGAIN!
He could have had a hat-trick this afternoon. Hammers break, comes to their strike and he blazes a shot at goal. Pope tips it over the bar.
Formals into the near post, Collins heads it behind.
84 min: Ball falls to Benrahma in the box.
He sets it outside the far post, looking to curl it into the corner. It doesn’t curl at all though and it’s well wide.
82 min: Rice urged to shoot, doesn’t. Johnson urged to shoot, does.
Hammers fans might decide against doing that next time. Blazed high and wide by the full-back.
79 min: Burnley’s turn to look dangerous from a corner.
Right on top of Fabianski, he palms it away and it’s then pin-ball in the box. He comes out to Cornet, onto his left foot but he drags the shot wide.
Fornals on for West Ham, replacing Lanzini.
77 min: HOW HAS BENRAHMA NOT SCORED!
Rice works it onto his left foot, goes for goal and the block takes it perfectly into Benrahma’s path.
He dinks it over the goalkeeper, looks set to turn it in, but Collins gets back brilliantly.
Jack Rosser at the London Stadium
Set pieces to rescue once more for West Ham, but they do deserve to be level. Antonio may be wasting everything in front of goal but he did well to race in and win the free-kick which led to that goal.
GOAL! West Ham 1-1 Burnley | Tomas Soucek 74′
WEST HAM GET THEMSELVES LEVEL!
Another set-piece, West Ham take full advantage this time. Lanzini swings it in, flicked on by Weghorst and just hits Soucek and goes into the back of the net.
