A Tik Tok star and her mum have appeared in the dock today charged with the murder of two men who were killed in a horror car crash after allegedly being chased and rammed off the road.

Social media favorite Mahek Bukhari, 22, and her mother Ansreen Bukhari, 45, who have been jointly charged with a third woman, looked sullen and shaken as they stood side by side with a prison guard.

The two victims Mohammed Hashim Ijazuddin and Saqib Hussain died at the scene when their vehicle was “run off the road” and split in two while being chased by the defendants, Leicester Magistrates’ Court heard.

Prosecutor Mohammed Zarandouz said that during the high speed chase in the early hours of Friday last week one of the victims called 999 to alert police.

He said: “Unfortunately a loud scream could be heard from the caller and the call disconnected.”

He said the car was run off the road and hit a central reservation barrier where “on the point of impact the vehicle was ripped into two pieces.”

The horror smash happened on the A46 near Six Hills junction in Leicestershire at around 1.30am on Friday.

The two men had been traveling in a silver Skoda Fabia.

The two Bukhari defendants spoke only to confirm their names and to say they understood when the court remanded them into custody to appear at Leicester Crown Court tomorrow.

The mum was wearing gray prison issue clothes and her daughter, who kept rubbing her tummy during the brief 10-minute hearing, was dressed in a beige sweatshirt and casual trousers.

The pair both live together in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffs.

Their co-accused Natasha Akhtar, 21, from Birmingham, West Mids, who also faces a double murder charge, appeared briefly with the pair.

But due to cell staff shortages at the court she was unable to be present through the initial hearing as only one guard was available.

She was returned to the cells.

At a short hearing an hour later she was remanded into custody in her absence after the court was told they were “unable to produce” the defendants from the cells.

A pre trial preparation hearing for all three suspects has been set for March 28.

No pleas were used during today’s hearings.

The prosecutor told the court – where family members of both the defendants and the two victims sat in the public gallery – that the crash was “the most unfortunate of incidents.”

He said the victims were being chased from the Sainsbury superstore on Melton Road, Leicester, until their car was “run of the road.”

The victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
