The covid certificate that certifies having the complete vaccination schedule, a negative coronavirus test for those not vaccinated, or confirmation that the person has recovered from the disease, and that it was already mandatory since June in some events, has passed to used generally in the Iparralde and the French State, as of today, August 9th.

Specifically, these are the situations for which the “health passport” will be required in the form of computer QR code:

– Access bars and restaurants (even on terraces), gyms and shopping centers.

– Access “leisure and culture” sites that bring together more than 50 people such as cinemas and theaters, for example.

– Staying in hotels and campsites.

– Travel on a long-distance train.

– Travel on a domestic flight.

– Access nursing homes.

– Be treated as non-urgent patients in health centers and hospitals.

– Access health establishments as visitors.

After latest protests, the French Minister of Health, Olivier Véran, has confirmed this Sunday that will relax certain conditions of the “health passport”. Thus, the validity of negative tests for those not vaccinated will be 72 hours and not 48, both PCR and antigen tests will be valid, and it will be possible to perform “self-tests supervised by a health professional”

Although the minister has confirmed that the pass will be necessary to receive medical attention, he has clarified that “in no case should it be an obstacle to access urgent care.”

Mandatory vaccination for healthcare personnel

On the other hand, the health and labor personnel of nursing homes will have the Obligation to be vaccinated before September 15, and from then on there will be sanctions for those who fail to do so: workers may be suspended from employment and salary, but may not be fired in any case.
