Window to the world of the best Basque groups and singers
For the past three decades, Gaztea has shown its active and essential role in the Basque music ecosystemor, giving emerging groups the opportunity to excel in music through their participation in Maketa Lehiaketa. In fact, there are many who, after having won the contest, have taken the leap and have reaped musical trajectories of success. Thus, Maketa Lehiaketa has been the starting point for some of the most recognized Basque groups such as Berri Txarrak, EH Sukarra, Sorotan Bele, Belako or Kerobia, among others.
Specifically, EH Sukarra from Eibar were the first to release the track record in the first edition of the contest 30 years ago, and on the occasion of the anniversary, the group Nøgen, along with the best-known faces of Gaztea, have created a version of the song “EH Sukarra” and have recorded a video clip special.
