Russia-Ukraine war: latest maps, pictures and video | News

[ad_1]

Ukrainian soldiers trapped in a steel mill in Mariupol have accused Russia of “exterminating people” by refusing to allow civilians and wounded troops to be evacuated.

The Kremlin insists that evacuations are being allowed from other parts of the city which have been conquered, but Ukrainian forces in the Azovstal plant say that “heavy, bloody” fighting continues.

The Times and The Sunday Times have teams of journalists on the ground in Ukraine and Russia, sending breaking news reports, dispatches, exclusive pictures and videos. Below are maps detailing the areas of Ukraine under Russian control and some of the most striking pictures and videos of the conflict from recent days.
