Prince William and Kate Middleton were caught on camera sharing an adorable moment together after Ellie Goulding performed for the Royal Family carol service in ITV special to be aired on Christmas Eve

A heartwarming moment has been captured between Prince William and Kate Middleton as they welcome the festive season.

The rare snapshot into the couple’s relationship can be seen in a teaser clip for the Royal Carols – Together At Christmas concert as global star Ellie Goulding ends a beautiful carol.

The ITV released footage shows Prince William, 39, wearing a navy suit and salmon tie, turning to glance at his wife Kate, before she greets his gaze and they pause before sharing a smile of of appreciation for each other.

The Duchess of Cambridge, 39, chose a seasonal red bowed Catherine Walker coat for the occasion which she paired with matching satin heels and accessorised with sapphire diamond fringed earrings on loan from the Queen.

An exert from Kate’s forward in the Abbey’s order of service reads: “Christmas is a time when we can reflect on the past, listen to one another, focus on the relationships that nurture us and build our resilience, so we can look forward to a shared brighter future.

“My hope is that this service creates a moment for us to do this together.”

Elsewhere Ellie Goulding also stunned as an angelic figure wearing a all white sparkly ensemble with feathered floor length cape adorned with glistening gems.

Other stars performing included X Factor singer Leona Lewis who looked flawless in a leg revealing green maxi dress for the star-studded congregation.

Zara and Mike Tindall, Sophie Wessex and Princess Beatrice and hubby Edo Mapelli Mozzi, also took their front row seats.

The event, which saw 1,200 attending, saw a unique make-up of stars and invited members of the public to watch star musical performances, films, readings and reflections.

Singer Tom Walker also offered up a powerful performance looked dapper in a black blazer and a burgundy polo top while still coordinating with his trademark beanie hat.

TV presenter Kate Garraway, whose husband Derek is believed to be the longest-affected coronavirus patients in the UK, gave a reading wearing a white faux sheepskin jacket.

The event held at Westminster Abbey was planned to celebrates the unsung heroes of the Covid pandemic including charity workers, teachers and volunteers.

The Royal Carols: Together At Christmas concert will air on ITV on Christmas Eve at 7.30pm – 8.30pm.
