The Prince of Wales will appear on The One Show tonight to discuss the importance of hedges.

Prince Charles, 73, is a patron of the Hedgelaying Society and a supporter of the traditional craft that is carried out to maintain hedges across the UK.

You will be interviewed by environmentalist and presenter Mike Dilger, who will be learning about and asking about the need for bushes for the environment and the countryside.

It is not a live interview and was filmed on December 4 last year at a hedge-laying event hosted by Prince Charles.

Around 50 hedge trimmers took part in the competition which took place at the Highgrove Estate.

“They are a vital part of the landscape, they hold the soil together in many ways, prevent erosion, prevent flooding and bind forests together,” explained Prince Charles.

The upcoming interview comes after it was revealed that Prince Charles has some specific requests when it comes to his nightly routine.

As a royal, you have a team of people to help you with everything from cooking to bathing.

The idea for her routine was once revealed by Princess Diana’s friend and former butler Paul Burrell, who worked closely with the family in the 1990s.

Speaking during the Amazon Prime documentary Serving the Royals: Inside the Firm, Mr. Burrell revealed: “His pajamas are ironed every morning and his shoelaces are flattened with an iron.”

According to Burrell, Prince Charles also has specific requests for his morning bath.

He also told the documentary, “The water temperature has to be lukewarm and half full.”

The chat was filmed in December.

The former butler also said that Prince Charles needs his bathroom to be oriented in a specific direction, his bath towel arranged to his liking and his underwear not to have a single wrinkle.

Your routine requests do not detract from your fight against climate change.

The Prince warned that “the eyes of our children and grandchildren are judging us” and urged everyone to take immediate action to tackle the environmental problem.

In an essay for Newsweek in early January, he said he hoped the start of a new year heralded a fresh start for efforts to tackle the climate emergency, believing “there is not a moment to lose.”

He said: “The eyes of our children and grandchildren are judging us. The world is on the brink of the abyss… and we need the mobilizing urgency of a war footing if we want to win.”

The One Show airs at 7pm on BBC One.
