Follow live coverage as Norwich City face Burnley in the Premier League today.

Manchester City are reigning champions after a dominant 2020/21 season and Pep Guardiola’s side are favorites to win it again boasting as they do one of the best squads in Europe.

European champions Chelsea have proven they have what it takes to dethrone City, however, having done it in last season’s Champions League final and will be hoping to add a domestic title to the one won in Porto.

Liverpool were winners back in 2020 ending a 30-year wait for league glory and Jurgen Klopp is sure to have them back challenging again at the sharp end this season too while Manchester United will be looking to be back in the title picture with Cristiano Ronaldo returning to his former club in the summer.

It’s not all about the action at the top though with Norwich, Watford and Brentford promoted to the top tier for 2020/21 and hoping to hold their own against the best English football has to offer and avoid the drop.

It briefly looks like Rashica has time to shoot from the right of the box, but the window of opportunity closes. Pukki retains the ball until the pair can receive more support. By that point Burnley are well-stocked again at the back.

Burnley had 11 shots in the first half, their most in an away league game this season, but they still haven’t been able to break down Norwich. The Canaries are unbeaten this season when leading at half-time, while the Clarets have never come back to win a Premier League game away from home when trailing at the break in 64 attempts. If the Lancastrians are ever going to pull it off, now is the time.

Norwich lead at half-time in a game which holds more importance for Burnley at this point. The hosts went ahead in the opening 10 minutes thanks to Lees-Melou’s precise strike, and have weathered spells of Burnley pressure since. It’s a big second half coming up for the Clarets, as even a draw wouldn’t really help them.
