Man caged after being caught having sex with missing underage girl in his flat

A despicable man has been jailed after grooming and having sex with an underage girl who had gone missing from home.

Darcy Tyler Cole, was caged for four years yesterday at court after pleading guilty to three charges of sexual activity with a minor.

The 20-year-old, who was described as a “child in a 20-year-old man’s body” had an “unhealthy interest in teenage girls”.

Along with the prison sentence, the judge at Caernarfon Crown Court, handed Tyler Cole a sexual harm prevention order to monitor his behavior which would be in place for the rest of his life.

Cole’s crimes were uncovered by police when they were trying to find a teenage girl who had been reported missing in north east Wales last October.

Detectives analyzed mobile phone data and tracked her movements to Anglesey.

The court heard officers visited Cole’s home on Maes y Llan, Amlwch and after a short delay the door was opened. They explained that they were looking for the girl and Cole said: “she She’s here and safe”.

They found love bites on her neck and Cole was arrested on the spot and at this, the victim was upset, the court heard. Inquiries showed the man and victim had had regular contact of a sexualized nature on social media, report North Wales Live.

I paid for her to travel back. Ryan Rothwell, defending her, said Cole had been emotionally, physically and mentally abused by his mother.

She had stabbed her stepfather and served time in prison for that offence. As a child Cole had been severely bullied because of people’s misconceptions about his past.

“He has never learned how to approach relationships” and is “a child in a 20-year-old man’s body,” he added. His Honor Judge David Hale, sitting as a Deputy Circuit Judge, accepted that Cole had had a difficult start in life.

But he said: “What you have got is a problem with loneliness and an unhealthy interest in mid teenage children – girls”. The court heard he had been caught after having a non-sexual relationship with another girl, aged under 16, following grooming.

But the judge said he hadn’t learned lessons and went on to “take advantage” of the vulnerable girl. He said: “This was a totally deliberate, planned offense of grooming, followed by sex.”

Cole also admitted breaching a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) twice. The judge jailed Cole for three years and four months for three counts of sexual activity with a girl under 16, eight months for meeting a girl under 16 following grooming, to run consecutively, and six months for each of two breaches of a SHPO.
