They may have a nanny on hand to help with their childcare, but the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are hands-on parents.
When they don’t have royal duties, the couple gets stuck into parenting their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
But as every parent knows, bringing up children can be tiring and putting little ones to bed can sometimes prove to be stressful.
Fortunately for Kate though, once her youngsters are safely tucked up in bed, husband Prince William is on hand to help her unwind.
And according to a friend, once the kids are fast asleep, he likes to treat his wife by making her favorite tipple – a gin and tonic.

The pal told PEOPLE: “William will bring Kate a gin-and-tonic. They look after each other, but in different ways.”
They also added that Kate “runs things at home with the kids and the schedules” and “is hugely involved in every single part of their day.”
However, it won’t just be her own children that Kate will be reading a bedtime story tonight – it will be kids up and down the country.
That’s because she will be a special guest on the CBeebies channel to read the nightly bedtime story at 6.50pm.

In a teaser clip from her appearance, Kate encourages young viewers to face their fears
She says: “Wow, what an encouraging tale.
“We can all feel scared sometimes just like our little owl friend Plop, but as Mrs Barn Own said, ‘It’s better to find out about the things that scare us before we make up our mind’.
“And with the help of others, we can often face things that worry us. Now it’s time for bed. Night night and sleep tight.”
The duchess is following in the footsteps of Hollywood star Chris Evans, best known for playing Captain America, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl and British actor Tom Hiddleston, who have all appeared on CBeebies Bedtime Stories.
