Jason Derulo has reportedly hit a man in the face during a scuffle in Las Vegas.
The singer, 32, is said to have been involved in a fight with two other men in the early hours of Tuesday after the men yelled at him and called him fellow pop star Usher.
According to TMZ, police were called to the luxurious ARIA hotel on Las Vegas Boulevard after the altercation.
Fans told the publication that the incident occurred after a man tried to be funny with the star as they passed on an escalator by trolling him and calling him by the name of his R&B rival.
They said the man shouted at Jason: “Hey, Usher, F*** you, b**ch!”
The star allegedly took offence and ran over to him, evading what looks to be his bodyguard, and hit the man in the face.
A video of the incident was captured and showed the Take You Dancing singer launch at the man after the comment.
The singer is said to have also slapped the second man moments later as security tried to diffuse the brawl.
According to The Blast, Jason was “led away in handcuffs” from the scene by police officers but has since been “released from police custody”.
TMZ reports that the men involved didn’t want to press charges at the time, but a lawsuit could still follow. Those involved have up to a year to change their mind and Jason is reported to have received a trespassing notice from ARIA and was removed from the property.
Sources said that injuries sustained by the men didn’t require hospital treatment, although they seemingly suffered facial wounds.
The Mirror has contacted the singer’s representatives for comment.
The incident comes several months after the singer split from the mother of his seven-month-old son Jason King.
He announced he had split from Jena Frumes in September, bringing an end to their relationship of approximately 18 months.

He took to his Twitter at the time to share the news and asked fans for “privacy in this time”.
The singer tweeted: “Jena and I have decided to part ways. She is an amazing mother but we feel being apart at this time will allow us to be the best versions of ourselves and the best parents we could be.
“Pls respect our privacy in this time.”
