Jane McDonald has been going on a roadtrip across Florida as part of a new Channel 5 series which follows her travels, however, some were critical of the show.
Originally from Wakefield, the singer has been making travel programs on Channel 5 for years now. This episode, she went to Orlando, the home of Disneyland in the American state.
Before the program even started some fans were already excited. ZOE tweeted: “Ten minute warning to see Jane McDonald let loose in Florida and there she goes living my DREAM.”

Gill Makes tweeted: “Jane McDonald in Florida, Sunday night therapy.”
But once it began others were more unsure as Jane traveled to Florida by business class and received an instant upgrade to the penthouse suite of her hotel.
Kev Cressey tweeted: “Does channel 5 realize that this holiday would cost the ‘normal family’ about 15 grand !”
Natalie Booth tweeted: “It’s ok showing us holidays to Florida #janemcdonald but not everyone gets to jump queues in the Airport, get free flight upgrades to business class & penthouse suites. How’s about showing us the poor mans holiday next time, y’know, the realistic one?”
@kylesew112 said: “Let’s show the poor people what they can’t afford in this big penthouse xxx #holidayingwithjanemcdonald”
@cirencester5 added: “Much as i love JaneMcdonald with her common as muck attitude she no way leads a normal life #holidayingwithjanemcdonald”
One of the first activities Jane did was go kayaking along one of the many rivers in the sunshine state. Jane called the river “gorgeous” as she learned to kayak and took in some of the scenery around the “crystal clear” water.
She said: “It’s so beautiful and quiet and fresh,” and went on to encourage people to travel only so they could meet new people.
By day two it was time for Jane to take in Orlando’s most famous attraction, Disneyland. She visited the Star Wars bar and drank drinks she said de ella made her lips “go numb”.
Timothy Winchester tweeted: “Jane McDonald at the Star Wars bit of Disney is exactly what I need to see right now.”
However, the highlight of the Disney trip came soon after when Jane met Mickey Mouse and took a selfie with him.
Next it was time to have a “girl’s night” out in Orlando. They started with a three course meal and a cabaret show, something Orlando is well known for.
Before the episode ended Jane McDonald went to visit the Manatees, or Sea Cows, in King’s Bay in what she described as a “once in a lifetime opportunity.”
