The main Coronavirus symptoms we were told to look out for included a rise in temperature, a continuous cough and a loss in taste or smell.

However, from headaches to intense body aches, Omicron symptoms are different from the traditional signs we’ve come to expect from Covid.

Unlike Covid, experts say the variant can present those infected with more cold-like symptoms – including a runny nose, dry/scratchy throat, headache as well as fatigue and sneezing, a study from health science company Zoe revealed.

And now, people are discovering that one of the first warning signs of Omicron is something you can hear, according to experts.

Omicron sufferers cill reportedly hear changes to their voice as an early indication of infection as a scratchy throat can lead to a hoarse or scratchy voice.

Professor Tim Spector, the scientist behind symptom tracker app Zoe, described the symptoms of Omicron as being more similar to that of a common cold.

This means it’s much easier to miss if you’re infected with Omicron, with Prof. Spector warning anyone with cold-like symptoms to take a Covid test to make sure.
