Prince Andrew has distanced himself from convicted sex offender Ghislaine Maxwell, insisting in court documents that the pair were not close, despite evidence suggesting otherwise.

The Duke of York has been photographed multiple times since the 1980s vacationing and partying with the disgraced socialite, who also attended several royal residences.

But in legal documents responding to Virginia Giuffre’s allegations, the Queen’s second son dismissed any notion that they were close friends.

Ms Giuffre claims she was forced to have sex with Andrew on three occasions in 2001 when she was 17 and was trafficked around the world to be used as a “sex slave” by the Duke’s pedophile friend, the late fallen financier. Unfortunately Jeffrey Epstein.

Andrew has continually denied the allegations.

Here we see moments when Andrew and Maxwell were seen together for four decades.

The first time they met

In 2019, Prince Andrew told Emily Maitliss during his infamous Newsnight interview that he had known Maxwell since he was a student at Oxford University in the early 1980s.

At the time, the Duke was serving in the Royal Navy, while Maxwell came from a well-connected family.

In the late 1990s and early 2000s, they were often photographed together during outings in both the United Kingdom and the United States.

In 1999, Maxwell introduced Prince Andrew to her then-boyfriend, financier Jeffrey Epstein.

The couple was photographed together several times in the 1990s and early 2000s.

Flight records show that the prince flew with Maxwell in Epstein’s black Gulfstream II to the billionaire’s Caribbean home, later called pedophile island, in February 1999.

Later that year, Maxwell and Epstein attended Balmoral, the queen’s Scottish residence.

In September 2000, Andrew and Maxwell were photographed at ex-partner Aurelia Cecil’s wedding and a month later they were photographed again at a Halloween party hosted by model Heidi Klum in New York.

Earlier that year, they and Epstein were together at Royal Ascot.

Maxwell and Epstein were also invited to Windsor Castle and Sandringham.

When asked about the visit during Newsnight’s interview on the visit, the Duke of York said: “But certainly at my invitation, not at the royal family’s invitation, but remember it was your girlfriend that was the key element in this.

“He [Epstein] it was, so to speak, plus one, up to a certain point in that regard.”

He described it as a “shooting weekend… an easy shooting weekend”.

In January of that year, they traveled to Thailand together and in March the photo of Prince Andrew with his accuser and Maxwell was allegedly taken at the latter’s home in Belgravia.

The Prince’s lawyers said of the image that they “do not have enough information” to admit or deny its existence.

In May 2006, a warrant was issued for Epstein’s arrest for sexual assault of a minor.

In July of the same year, he was invited to Princess Beatrice’s 18th birthday because Andrew “was asking Ghislaine”.

Reports of an “intimate relationship”

Paul Page, a former Royal Protection Officer, told an ITV documentary that Prince Andrew and Maxwell “could have started dating” in 2001.

He claimed that Maxwell had so much access to the Palace that his team assumed they were in an “intimate relationship”.

Page told ITV’s Ranvir Singh: “From the way he was allowed in and out of the palace at will, we suspect he may have had an intimate relationship with Prince Andrew.

“A colleague of mine remembered that she came four times in one day from morning to night. She kept going in and out, in and out.”

In the documentary, Maxwell’s brother Ian added: “They were good friends, I don’t know how often she may have seen him. at Buckingham Palace.”

“She didn’t take anything from anyone, prince, poor thing, it didn’t make any difference,” he adds.

“That’s how we were raised. So I think Prince Andrew would have found it quite refreshing.”

Maxwell, 60, was convicted Dec. 29 of five counts of sex trafficking and other counts of recruiting and grooming teenagers for the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein to abuse between 1994 and 2004.
