The ex-boyfriend of the woman accusing Prince Andrew of sex abuse has said he visited Jeffrey Epstein’s “house of horrors” and accused the royal of wrecking their relationship.

Anthony Figueroa, now 39, says former “sex slave” Virginia Giuffre, then 17, confided in him about what happened with the prince. Andrew denies it.

Anthony now says the prince should go to America to face questions, saying Virginia told him she “didn’t want to do it”.

He believes Maxwell and Epstein pushed his former girlfriend into a “bad place” and said he and Virginia were manipulated.

Anthony was in a relationship with her at the time she alleges Andrew had sex with her on three occasions.

Anthony and Virginia were high school sweethearts who moved to a home in Flordia

They had been high school sweethearts before meeting again three years later. They ended up in an apartment in Palm Beach, Florida.

Anthony says she’d leave for up to two weeks a month for flights on Epstein’s “Lolita Express” jet to locations including his Little St James, known as “Paedo Island”.

He says he also visited Epstein’s old “house of horrors” mansion in Palm Beach where he met girls he believed were controlled by the financier.

Anthony said: “I met Ghislaine and Jeffrey and was in shock at all the s*** they had.”

He claims: “They manipulated us both. They knew we were kids and stupid. People will ask why I carried on dating Virginia, but I didn’t question it till later.

“Those two pushed her into a bad place. At first the money was part of our thinking. We had our own place because of it and when Virginia went away with them she’d leave me a few hundred dollars.

“At 18, getting that every two weeks was a big deal.”

The mansion is believed to be where much of Epstein’s offending took place. US authorities think at least 40 girls were lured there to give massages for cash – only to be attacked by the tycoon, who died in jail in 2019.

Virginia claims she was first taken there after being approached by Maxwell while working at Donald Trump ’s country club Mar-a-Lago in Florida.

Anthony said: “There were always random girls at the mansion, from France and South Africa. I talked to some. They gave a sense they ‘had’ to like you, like in a strip club.

“I’d hang out in the kitchen, so I didn’t see the bad stuff happen. Jeffrey was friendly. He’d talk to me about what I was up to. I was introduced as ‘her (Virginia’s) boyfriend’ from the get-go. I was disgusted later to learn what was going on when they knew that.

“All I knew at first was Virginia was their masseuse but she was uncomfortable and didn’t want to be there.

“I was 18. I didn’t understand the bigger picture. I was told she’d ‘connected’ with Jeffrey and Ghislaine and they wanted her to travel with them. The truth came out when we argued about what was really going on.

“She said she was being told to have sex with men. I wanted her to get out, but she couldn’t. She also told me how she and Ghislaine used to have sex. Sometimes, just them, or with other girls, or with Jeffrey.”

FBI agents probing Epstein’s global sex ring have been asking to speak to Andrew as a potential witness for at least two years.

But a request filed with the Home Office has still not been actioned. Anthony, who now has a new partner and children, claims he is still haunted by the photo of the prince with his arm around Virginia’s waist inside Maxwell’s house in Kensington.

He blames the royal for the break-up of their relationship, which lasted 18 months between 2000 and 2001 while they were in Palm Beach.

He said: “I didn’t see the photo of her with Andrew until after we split. It still p***** me off to think about it because from the times she got back from seeing him, things were different. That was what ended us.”

Anthony, who has given evidence in a previous deposition, added: “I’m not in contact with her, but I’m proud of what Virginia is doing. Andrew needs to be questioned by the authorities here. He should face up to it.”

Virginia’s lawyers claim they now have up to six witnesses willing to testify she and Andrew met. Among them is Johanna Sjoberg, 41, who claims Andrew touched her breast while playing with a latex Spitting Image puppet of himself inside Epstein’s New York mansion.

Another witness, Steve Scully, who worked for Epstein, says he saw Andrew and Virginia kiss while on Epstein’s private island.

Now a restaurant worker in Atlanta, Georgia, Anthony said of the FBI’s failed attempts to question him: “Being royal makes no difference. Andrew has to face up to the case.

“I remember the first time Virginia mentioned him in 2001. She knew she’d be meeting him and said she knew what they wanted her to do with him and she didn’t want to do it.

“She said she was scared and nervous. I told her she had to do whatever it took to feel safe.”

Anthony claims Maxwell used Virginia as bait to attract more victims.

He said: “Virginia told me she’d go out with her and be made to recruit others in clubs, talking to them before Ghislaine would move in.”
