Online declarations can be filed as of April 15.

The Gipuzkoa Treasury has appealed to all taxpayers in the territory to file your return online, “without leaving home”, in the 2019 income campaign, in which the mechanized modality is still postponed, still without a date, due to the pandemic of COVID-19.

The provincial deputy for Finance and Finance, Jabier Larrañaga, accompanied by the director of the Treasury, Some Perona, and the deputy director of Tax Management, Yolanda Dominguez, have presented in a virtual appearance the main novelties of this campaign, which will start on monday conditioned by confinement in the current alarm state.

Larrañaga has clarified that today “they do not contemplate a scenario” without mechanized income, although the term of this modality may be shorter than in previous years and, in any case, we will have to wait for the “situation to normalize” to put “dates”.

The provincial deputy has insisted that the objective is that 100% of the campaign is carried out telematically and has encouraged all taxpayers to submit their returns online since the Treasury has enabled new ways to facilitate this process by considerably strengthening the staff dedicated to the telephone service (943113000) that will accompany all the steps, and facilitate the process of delegating this action to another person.

Larrañaga has addressed the citizens to tell them “do not be afraid” and dare to present the statement through Taxation, the platform that will be especially relevant in this campaign in which, as up to now, you can download, modify and accept the self-assessment proposal or obtain the tax data that the Treasury has to complete them, if necessary, and complete the process full.

The COVID-19 pandemic has also forced to extend a month, until July 29, the dates of the campaign, in which, as planned, the 257,714 self-assessment proposals sent by the Treasury may be accepted as of next Monday. Online declarations can be submitted from April 15.

Regarding the main figures of the campaign, the Diputación expects to receive some 390,000 statements, 7,000 more than in the previous season and it plans to return a total of 288.8 million and enter 264.2 million, which represents a negative final balance for the Treasury of 24.6 million.

Regarding the campaign of Wealth tax, which will take place between April 15 and July 29, whose only presentation method is online, forecasts point to a collection of 60.9 million, which represents an increase of 2.2% compared to the previous year .

The Treasury hopes to process 7,950 statements, 103 more than the previous year, that an average amount of 7,660 euros will enter the provincial coffers, an increase mainly attributed to the positive behavior registered by the stock markets in 2019.
