Snoochie Shy became the latest I’m A Celebrity to be eliminated from the ITV show on Tuesday night, following from Arlene Phillips and Kadeena Cox
I’m A Celebrity has sparked a furious sexism row after the third woman in camp was voted off in three days – leaving just two women remaining among the eight celebrities.
Snoochie Shy became the latest celebrity to be eliminated from the ITV show last night, following from Arlene Phillips and Kadeena Cox.
Only Louise Minchin and Frankie Bridge remain among the women in camp with male stars Matty Lee, Naughty Boy, Simon Gregson, David Ginola, Adam Woodyatt and Danny Miller.
Fans were not impressed, with one tweeting: “First ageist, now racist and sexist. Don’t you just love how the great British public are voting on #ImACeleb Kadeena and Snoochie did NOT deserve to be voted out. Any bets on Naughty Boy going tomorrow.”
While another fumed: “I swear if Frankie goes tomorrow I’m done man you’ll be looking sexist #ImACeleb.”
A third raged: “Why is it that it’s always the women that go out one after the other in the first few days?! @snoochieshy was one of the most entertaining ones and it’s ridiculous she’s gone out this early #ImACeleb.”
“stop voting the women out #ImACeleb,” another demanded.
One asked: “Why do women always seem to get voted out first in #ImACeleb when mainly women vote?? What ever happened to girl power!!”
Another raged: “Why is all the woman getting voted off. What is the public’s problem with strong independent women.”
A fan pointed out: “The #ImACeleb voters really don’t seem to like women.”
“Not all the women leaving first You can clearly tell casting wanted a man to win this season #ImACeleb,” one wrote.
Another fumed: “we’ve lost three women but still have naughty boy and danny mf miller… i knew i could never trust the british public #ImACeleb.”
It comes after a disastrous series for I’m A Celeb after the show was pulled off the air for three days last week.
The show had been pre-recorded on Friday evening’s episode, following weather warnings later that night, and was subsequently cancelled on Saturday and Sunday after the set was badly damaged by Storm Arwen and the poor weather conditions.
Good Morning Britain host Richard Madeley was also forced to quit I’m A Celeb the week before after falling ill in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Confirming the news on Instagram, he insisted that he was “absolutely fine” but that because he had felt briefly unwell in the morning, he was taken to hospital as a precaution
As a result, he broke his Covid bubble and was forced to leave the castle.
