“Everyone is always talking about our fish and chips, but the best-seller is the doggy sausages.”
Sir Woofchester’s food is ethically handmade in Britain and the company donates a portion of its profits to dog charities and rescue centres.
Lucy Nelson, director of Nelson Hotels chain in Chester, said: “Not only do our doggy diners go mad for them, but they really complement our own quality offering.
“There is a great and varied range of meals and treats, which all present extremely well; the branding and packaging is of a very high quality, and judging by how quickly they go down so is the taste!”

An independent pub sending pet owners into a frenzy is the King’s Arms in West Malling, Kent.
It’s new dog-friendly food menu has four plates specifically made for dogs’ delicate palettes – and there is even a vegetarian option for non-meat diners.
Diners can order a £2.50 meat mezze, which comes with chicken, beef, sausage, ham, lamb and “whatever is in the kitchen”.
One pub-goer, Amanda Greenslade, said: “My pooches absolutely woofed down their doggy dinners! But what I loved about this most, is the fact I ate MY dinner in peace without the ‘please mum, give me a bit’.”
