Responding to his application, one user said: “Where do I sign up Whiskey?”

While another wrote: “I show u gd time not safe time Whiskey,” and a third said: “This is adorable. I’d love to be your Valentine but a lady, I am not.”

Since welcoming Whiskey into the family in July 2019, Claire has shared countless pictures and videos of her adorable dog on social media.

She said: “The videos are generally just so easy – he is forever doing things that make me laugh.

“Even the way he has made a dent on the back of my armchair because of the way he has to sit with his chin on the windowsill and paws on the radiator is just signature Whisky.

“I have so many videos of him just being him and when I find the right audio it just seems to fit.”

Claire turned to Whiskey for companionship and entertainment during the first Covid-19 lockdown – and wanted to share him with the world.

“Whiskey was eight-months-old when we went into the first lockdown and I know it sounds cliche but with me working from home, he was literally what got me through,” said Claire.

Whiskey is looking for love

“I spend every minute I can with him and on the weekends I’m very much ‘if my dog can’t come I’m not going’.

“He fills our days with love and laughter and seems to have made quite an impression on his followers as we get loads of messages every week from his fans around the world.”

Whiskey has been described as “the most mischievous dog out there” who loves being the center of attention.

She added: “He is always up to something whether it’s stealing hats off people’s heads or deliberately pushing his tennis balls under the sofa and barking at it until he gets your attention.

“He is also so endearing and has to speak to everybody he walks by – the feeling seems mutual with everyone wanting to speak to him as well though.

“If walking up the street and a car stops at a junction he always stops, sits and wags his tail thinking the car has stopped and someone will be getting out to speak to him.

“He lives life to the fullest, desperate for adventure in whatever weather there is but is also so full of love and enjoys being cuddled up with his humans.”
