Get Meghan Markle’s £3,200 white Valentino suit look for less at PLT, Missguided and ASOS

Last week Meghan Markle stunned in a white Valentino suit as she stepped out at The Invictus Games in The Hague with husband, Prince Harry. The 40-year-old donned a double-breasted wool blazer and high-waisted trousers that came with an eye-watering price tag.

The blazer came in at £2,100, with the trousers coming in slightly cheaper at £1,100, accessorizing with a pair of diamond earrings and Aquazzura shoes she wore for her wedding in 2018.

Luckily, white two-piece power suits aren’t in short supply at more affordable high street retailers, with Asos, PrettyLittleThing and Missguided all stocking budget dupes of the Valentino number.

The most affordable combination we could find was at Missguided, where a pair of white tailored straight leg trousers are a snip of the designer price at £16.80, down from £28. The daring pants are tailored sitting just on top of the toes with flat shoes – or can be worn with heels, as The Duchess of Sussex did.

While there are some double breasted blazers available on the fast fashion site, we think this white tailored oversized blazer offers the most luxurious look and dupes the Valentino version the best. It retails at £38 and comes in size six to 18, bringing the whole outfit to £54.80.

The oversized fit offers a longer length to cover the bum, but sizing down would provide a more fitted look, should you prefer one.

Alternatively, PrettyLittleThing are stocking a ‘dad blazer’ for £40, with a woven material like Meghan’s suit. PLT said: “Look extra glam in this blazer doll. Featuring a white textured woven textured material with an oversized fit in a dad style, what’s not to love? Style with the matching bottoms, mules and simple accessories for the ultimate finish.”

For an extra £25, shoppers can snap up the matching pants, available in sizes four to 16 like the blazer. The luxe-looking trousers are certainly a bold choice, but styled with a white bag and mules, it’s a chic, stylish look that commands attention.

At ASOS, this YAS white co-ord can be found in the bridal section. It’s the most expensive of the bunch, but being tailored towards brides, it’s understandable why that’s so.

the £70 blazer features notch labels like the Valentino suit, with padded shoulders and side pockets.

Coming in at £48 are the trousers , bringing the look up to £128, which is still a massive £3,072 cheaper than Meghan’s look. The mid-rise trousers have belt loops and pockets, with a wide leg but regular fit.

In the model photos, the co-ord has been styled with a bralet or a corset-style top and white strappy heels for a monochrome look.

They certainly give shoppers a few cheaper alternatives to the three-grand suit worn by the Duchess, while still giving absolute power boss-babe vibes.
