Five sustainable places to stay in Scotland for summer 2022

With Global Warming a real problem, more and more people are turning to greener holidays.

Looking to minimize their impacts on the planet whilst travelling, a recent report by Vacationer.com highlighted that 83% of individuals felt that it was important, or very important, for sustainability travel.

According to the Expedia Traveler Value Index 2022, 59% of people are willing to pay more for a sustainable trip, showing that being environmentally conscious is at the top of their list of priorities for their next holiday. And one way of immediately making an impact is to remove flights from the process and opt for a staycation.

Thankfully, Scotland is home to some brilliant options when it comes to environmentally-conscious stays, and specialist rental property providers Independent Cottages have picked out five of the best.
