Superstar Vin Diesel works hard in bringing out a new film from the Fast and Furious franchise. Along with Universal Pictures, he always aims to take action to the next level with each installment, and this also could be seen in the Fast and Furious 9 trailer. A few days back, the trailer was released online. It made many revelations like how John Cena is playing Dom’s brother and that Han Lue is still alive. In the 7th installment, it was shown that to Dom’s office; archival footage is delivered where he sees the death of his friend Han.

 

In the trailer, the character played by John Cena seems to be getting heavy on Dom, but he always fights back. Lucas Black, Michelle Rodriguez, Charlize Theron, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster, and Chris Bridges are all reprising their roles from the initial films. The trailer is almost 4 minutes long and has gathered millions of views across YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter. The trailer dropped as a concert was held to mark the debut where Ludacris, Cardi B, and more performed. In its 1st 72 hours, the trailer review 262 million views globally, and also Universal marked a new 24-hour record with 151 million views.

The audience who watched Super Bowl knows that Universal’s full trailer was aired because airtime is expensive for the event but only gave 30 seconds preview. The preview got 8 million views in 1st 24 hours, and the combination of full trailer and commercial received nearly 111 million views in the same time. The Fast and Furious have gained lots of popularity in recent times, which might be one of the main reasons for the trailer performing well.

Fast and Furious 9 was supposed to release in April 2019 but got delayed because of No Time to Die, and Hobbs and Shaw and later were pushed due to the pandemic, and the latest announced release date in the US is June 25, 2021.
