Ronaldo gives Georgina Rodríguez the best birthday present

Cristiano Ronaldo gave his girlfriend Georgina Rodríguez the best birthday present: his own laser show with his face in an emblematic place in Dubai.

The 36-year-old Manchester United superstar spent thousands of dollars lighting up the Dubai skyline with clips from his new Netflix show.

Ronaldo, a father of four, is currently in Dubai with his family for the Premier League winter break and posted a video on his Instagram showing the Spaniard’s impressive face on the facade of the famous Burj Khalifa tower.

The light and laser show included a moment where Georgina’s name appeared on the tower and ended with the message “Happy Birthday Geo” in giant white letters above a photo of the stunning Spaniard in a glamorous black off-the-shoulder dress.

Writing in Portuguese along with the spectacular video, Ronaldo declared: “Many congratulations my love” with a heart and birthday cake with candle emoticons.

The United hero and his partner are celebrating his 28th birthday and the Netflix series about Georgina’s rags-to-riches life, titled ‘I Am Georgina’, in the Arab state.

And on the edge of Burj Lake, the Burj Khalifa laser and light show is a big draw.

The iconic tower becomes the world’s largest viewing screen at night, with recent reports putting the cost of placing a three-minute advert or promotional message on the tower’s facade at a minimum of £50,000, a price which subsequently increases on weekends.

That, of course, is pocket change for Ronaldo, whose net worth is estimated at more than £370m.

Argentinian-born Georgina says in the six-part documentary series that traveling on Cristiano’s private plane has put her off getting on a regular plane with her soccer partner.

The brunette, who met Ronaldo in 2016 during his record-breaking career with Real Madrid, flies around Europe on her Gulfstream G20 plane.

She admitted on her new Netflix show: “For me, the best part of traveling on Cris’s jet is the crew, hands down, and the jet really does make life so much easier.”

Speaking as she boarded the plane to Paris to pick out an outfit for the Cannes Film Festival at Jean Paul Gaultier’s studio, she added: “If I had to be in an airport for two hours with Cristiano, I’d go crazy.

“I mean I couldn’t go, I’d rather not travel.”

Georgina also revealed on the show that she went from taking public transportation to get to the Gucci store where she met Cristiano in 2016 to being transported in her fleet of high-powered sports cars.

The model and influencer, who grew up in the city of Jaca, in the Spanish Pyrenees, said: “Many times he would come after work and I would go out after 10 at night.

“I remember once he came in a Bugatti. My co-workers went crazy. I would arrive by bus and leave in a Bugatti. People couldn’t believe it.”

Ronaldo appears on the show and admits that he quickly realized that “Georgina was the woman of my life”, adding: “For me it was ‘normal’, so to speak, because she was already my girlfriend.

“I know the cars I have and I am not going to pick her up in a taxi. He was funny because she was waiting for her outside the store in these flashy cars that I have. Georgina is very good in that regard. She would quickly leave the store, she would get in the car and we would go home.”

He added, “I didn’t think at first that she would be so strong and that I would fall in love with her.

“I did not expect, really. But after a while I felt that she was the one for me.”
