Vitamin C or ascorbic acid, a water-soluble nutrient is extremely essential for the human body. Ascorbic Acid plays an important role in enhancing the immunity to fight against diseases.

Taking more than 2000 mg per day of vitamin C can cause gastrointestinal diseases. Also, excess Vitamin C is excreted through Urine.
