Coronavirus in Spain today | The autonomous communities study new measures with a soaring incidence

The Autonomous communities have adopted or are studying new measures to contain coronavirus infections given the increase in incidence due to the omicron variant that continues to explode. Spain already has 1,206 cases per 100,00 inhabitants.

After four days without data, the Ministry of Health notified this Monday 214,619 new cases, the highest figure of the entire pandemic, although it adds the contagions that have been known (not produced) in the last three days; the total number of infected already stands at 5,932,626. In addition, 120 deaths were recorded, bringing the count to 89,139 deaths.

Immunization with the vaccine, which in Spain began to be administered a year ago and this month they have begun to receive children between 5 and 12 years old, means that the number of cases does not correspond to a similar increase in admissions and deaths.

The omicron variant is spreading throughout the world and in some countries it is already the dominant one. The new coronavirus exceeds 5.3 million deaths and has already infected more than 277 million people all over the planet.

But the important thing is that we have more cases than ever but that hospitals do not have as much income, not even close, as other times. Like a flu, it looks more and more like this.
