Cheapest petrol stations in every Scots city – check where your nearest is

[ad_1]

Scots drivers are set to see fuel prices in supermarket forecourts begin to drop by 5p following chancellor Rishi Sunak’s recent spring statement.

The fuel cut will be in place until March 2023 and was announced as part of a series of measures to help combat the current cost of living crisis.

It comes as drivers across the country were hit with a surge in petrol prices, with former figures suggesting that they had hit an all time high and surpassed the 150p barrier.

Latest data from the RAC has shown that the average price of unleaded is now at 164.59 on Thursday, March 24, while the average price of diesel was 178.13.

This is an increase on the previous prices that were shown for last month, which was 151.25 for unleaded and 154.72 for diesel.

Drivers were hit with the increased cost of fuel as a knock-on effect from the Russian and Ukrainian conflict which began last month and set prices soaring.

As the 5p fuel cut comes into affect, The Daily Record has compiled a comprehensive list of the petrol stations offering the cheapest petrol prices in each major city.

We have compiled the list with five of the cheapest prices for both unleaded and diesel based on the current prices as of writing them (Friday, March 25) from PetrolPrices.com, though they may vary from time to time.

Here are the cheapest prices in each city..
