Ryan Reynolds will be back on our screens this weekend as Deadpool is broadcast on Channel 4 at 9pm on Sunday evening ((February 13). The Canadian megastar is well known for his performances in X-Men, Free Guy and Green Lantern.
Ryan’s love life is just as star-studded as his acting CV – and the A-lister counts one of Hollywood’s biggest stars among his exes. In honor of Deadpool’s re-airing, we look back at Ryan’s relationship history.
The actress, 26, wed Canadian Ryan Reynolds in September 2008. Upon their divorce, the couple said in a statement: “After long and careful consideration on both our parts, we’ve decided to end our marriage. We entered our relationship with love and it’s with love and kindness that we leave it.”

In a later interview with Cosmopolitan, Scarlett, 31, revealed it can be “challenging” being in a relationship with another actor, and suggested the couple’s work similarities could have been their downfall. The Captain America: Civil War star said: “The logistics of being with another actor are challenging. There has to be a real understanding of how you share your time, especially when two people’s careers are going at the same rate.”
She added: “If one person is more successful than the other, that also proves challenging. There may be a competitive thing.”

These days, Ryan is married to fellow actor Blake Lively. It took a while for the pair to actually hook up after being friends for a long time while single. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Blake revealed: “We were such good friends for so long and we both got to know each other as friends so when we were both single, we were still trying to find each other’s [perfect date] – ‘Oh, who would be good for you?'”
Blake continued to describe how they eventually found each other romantically: “We’d sit around being like, ‘Oh jeez, do you know anyone?’ And it didn’t click for, I mean, a good year and a half. Like, ‘Oh hey, wait, hold on. We could date!'”
The pair now have three children together, and they might just be the subject of a massive popstar’s discography, or so fans think. Taylor Swift fans believe that the hitmaker revealed the name of Blake Lively and Ryan Reynold’s nine-month-old baby on her album, Folklore.
Hollywood’s Blake – who has been pals with Taylor since 2015 – and Ryan welcomed their third daughter in October of 2019, but have kept the name of the tot secret. And Swifties were convinced that their new addition was named Betty after one track on Taylor’s album Folklore was titled with the moniker, as well as Blake and Ryan’s other kids James and Inez being name-checked in the same song.
A source with knowledge of the situation told PEOPLE that the song was named in part for Lively and Reynolds’ third daughter.
