Wimbledon champion and sporting icon Serena Williams gave fans an inside peek at the celebrations on Friday evening as she Instagrammed from inside the venue.

While all reports have suggested the big day was nothing but a happy affair, Spice Girls fans will be disappointed that the original five did not reunite for the exclusive event.

Ginger Spice herself, Geri Horner nee Halliwell, was the first to dash hopes on Friday when it was confirmed she would not be attending the star studded event.

She instead jetted off to the Australian Grand Prix with her husband, Red Bull F1 boss Christian Horner, and did not make the event in Florida.

A source told The Sun: “Geri has been accompanying Christian where possible on all of his work trips.

“This one is particularly far away but it is the Easter holidays so it was possible to make the journey.

“They are hoping to get some down time there too. With Christian busy with work she didn’t want to fly out to the States on her own.”

And then, to make matters worse, Emma Bunton – aka Baby Spice – also pulled out at the last minute.

Taking to Instagram to break the news, Emma shared a selfie with the bride-and-groom and wrote: “These two beautiful souls are getting married today!

“I’m so sorry I couldn’t make it there to celebrate you both.”

Emma signed off the post with: “We Love you all very much. @victoriabeckham @davidbeckham try not to cry to much!! #happytears.”
