BBC Ant-Man: Indian restaurant in London where star Paul Rudd eats every time he’s in UK

American actor Paul Rudd needs no introduction to the average Brit, having enjoyed a successful film career spanning back to 1991 on both sides of the Atlantic. The Avengers: Endgame and 40-Year-Old Virgin star, 52, has been married to his wife Julie Yaeger for nearly 20 years, and the pair share two children together – Jack and Darby.

Although from the United States, Paul has undoubtedly made a name for himself in the UK. Like us Londoners, he has a favorite restaurant in the city, and it is one that he frequents every time he visits.

Paul Rudd has visited the Darjeeling Express in the heart of Covent Garden on numerous occasions, and he keeps on coming back every time he visits London. Head chef Asma Khan Tweeted a picture of her and Rudd, who was accompanied by fellow actor Dan Levy, on a trip to the capital last summer. The post racked up more than 180,000 likes.

The restaurant – which is ranked in the top 10 per cent for places to eat in London – offers a three-course set menu for just £40 per person, and includes options like steamed dumplings, spiced lamb and stewed apricots.

The most recent review of Darjeeling Express on TripAdvisor awarded the establishment five stars, with one happy customer saying: “Brilliant chef Asma Kahn and staff serve up amazing Indian dishes that are beautifully spiced and sauced.

“The restaurant itself is a respite from the frenetic street traffic in the Covent Garden area. Book ahead as it is a popular spot, with good reason.”

Paul Rudd fans can watch him star in action-drama Ant Man on BBC Two One today (Saturday, February 5) at 4.15pm. The film sees a small-time crook trying to go straight to please his ex-wife and their daughter.

Things soon turn sour, though, as his inability to land a regular job soon sees him return to his old ways. When he breaks into the house of a scientist and finds a strange-looking bodysuit, Rudd is shocked to discover its incredible size-changing powers.
