Aldi apologizes to customers following Specialbuy delays – but here’s when they’re arriving

Aldi has issued an update to customers who were hoping to get their hands on some of their upcoming Specialbuys.

The budget retailer has seen a shipping disruption, which means that more than 20 of their middle aisle finds won’t be reaching stores on their advertised date, Wales Online reports.

In an apology, Aldi said: “Due to the current disruptions to global shipping, a number of Specialbuys may be delayed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

“We’re doing all we can to provide clarity on expected availability dates, but these are subject to change. Dates will vary by store and by region.”

But there are plenty of other Specialbuys to shop in the meantine, including these ‘Maginon’ Bik-3 in ear Bluetooth earphones, which launched on the Aldi website as an online exclusive on January 30.

We compared them to Apple’s AirPods – which are also stocked on the Aldi website for £119.99, and found the £24.99 pair to be great value for money, and a pretty good dupe.

Manchester football fans can now get their hands on cozy pajamas sporting their team’s logo as the budget supermarket are currently stocking a small selection of Premier League football PJs – including Manchester United.

The 100% cotton jim-jams are an online exclusive, meaning shoppers won’t be able to find them in store.

But online, they’re priced up at £14.99 for adults, and £7.99 for the children’s version.

The store has also recently updated the information it gives to customers about facemasks and Covid-19.

In England, it tells customers that wearing a face covering will be a personal choice for customers. Customers in Wales are reminded that wearing a face covering will continue to be mandatory when shopping in our stores.
