People who contract COVID suffer a lot during their course of recovery. But the effects of COVID do not stop here. 

A research done by Office for National Statistics in the United States suggests that around 13.5% of the people who recovered from the COVID suffer from Post COVID symptoms for at least the next 4 months from recovery.

The course of symptom that people go through after recovering from COVID resembles the post-viral infection and is commonly called as long COVID.

The symptoms which are included in the post COVID symptoms are-

  • Continued loss of smell and taste
  • High palpitations
  • Muscle pain
  • Mood swings
  • Fatigue
  • Breathing difficulties
  • Insomnia
  • Cough

Till now, there are no such treatments for the postcode word effects after recovering from COVID. But recently, researchers have said that vaccines play a major role in the quick recovery of post COVID.

A small pilot study revealed that vaccines of AstraZeneca and Pfizer-BioNTech were quite beneficial in reducing post-COVID symptoms and helped people to cope up with the disease. Also, no cases were found that degraded the well-being of people after getting the shot.

Surveys were conducted;

An online survey was conducted by the officials to know the exact situation of people before and after COVID.

The survey was posted on almost all the social media platforms in which people were asked to rate their symptoms on a scale of one to 10 before and after COVID Vaccines for each dose.

The common symptoms were headache, palpitations, and anxiety before getting the first short of vaccine and in some cases, it persisted for at least 10 days after COVID vaccination

Clearing of Viral Particles;

Scientists concluded that the vaccines for potentially able to clear the lingering viral particles from the affected patients.

Scientists further added that the acute viral infection would last only for few weeks and other symptoms were due to decreased immunity and hence he posts COVID symptoms were improbable with the help of vaccination.
