Get ready to “Dodge, Dip, Duck, Dive, & Dodge!” That’s right, the Lions Club is hosting the First Annual Charity Dodgeball Tournament at the Borger Middle School Gymnasium on April 30th. The balls will start flying at 10am and the 6-man teams will be dodging and diving their way to victory or inevitable defeat.

Members throughout the community will be playing or just cheering on the players. Phoenix Games and Collectibles, who just celebrated their first anniversary of opening, is bringing 5 teams to the showdown. One of our own writers will be on the team named Jacob’s Angels.

According to the Facebook event page, “[The] goal is to raise funds for community service projects and to bring our community together to throw dodgeballs at each other!” Each team will have paid to be in a storm of balls on Saturday.

Come out and cheer us on! It will be a day filled with plenty of entertainment and possibly a few injuries all in great fun!
